The Community Council has produced several papers mostly relating to planning matters. These give guidance to developers, architects and builders as to what they should consider when drawing up a propoaal for a new development or a modification to an existing building. The recommendations in the papers draw from national guidelines and interpret them for the particular context of Helensburgh. As far as possible the recommendations are neutral in the sense that they do not reflect the views and bieses of one individual or group of individuals. They seek to enhance the build environment, not to inhibit development.
